The United States has intensified its military campaign against Yemen’s Houthi rebels, launching airstrikes across multiple locations, including the capital, Sanaa. The latest strike on Monday resulted in the death of at least one individual and injuries to 13 others, according to media reports.
This escalation follows the Yemen’s Houthis announcement earlier this month to resume attacks on Red Sea shipping in response to Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip. The U.S. airstrikes have targeted key Houthi leadership and infrastructure, with the aim of deterring threats to maritime trade and regional stability
The Houthis also reported air raids on sites around the city of Saada, the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, and Marib province, home to oil and gas fields under the control of allies to Yemen’s exiled central government.
